Do It Again 02:37
It’s kinda weird seeing you in the different way Not the same old day to day You look so good and I feel just like a fool Can’t find the right words to say I think it’s cool, then in your eyes, I drift away Chorus I know we’re feeling kind of awkward And I’m not that great a talker But I hope that we can do it again I know the meal was kind of crummy You must think that I’m a dummy But I hope that we can do it again I can’t believe that you’re still right here with me The night has been a disaster I feel so nervous and I just can’t keep my cool But there’s nowhere I’d rather be My stomach churns, but in your eyes, it’s love I see Chorus Bridge Every time I look around I see the faces staring down at me They think that I’m a freak They’re wondering what you’re doing with me Chorus

I arrived on an average Tuesday night For another meeting of the Dead City Support Club Soundman was gearing up for the fight Even though there was no audience in sight It was just another night for the Dead City Support Club Chorus The band played it’s heart out on every song The bartenders clapped as they sang along Dead City Support Club ignored the gloom As the sound bounced off the empty room Everybody was there for the love Dead City Support Club At 10:05 a crazy girl walked in Drunk or high we could not begin to tell She danced like she was watching the dead and not the Dead City Support Club Chorus As the hands of time ticked away I heard the weird girl say She was feeling down but we brought her back up We looked at each other and smiled Decided it was all worthwhile To find a little bit of life left after all Chorus

Who wants to hear another sappy song About the power of rock n’ roll Or the trials of a love affair gone awry again Who wants to hear me dedicating all my love To a girl that no one knows In a place I’ll never go There must be some kind of way out of here Said the worker to the chief Chorus And this is my blue collar anthem For those who just don’t care They’ve seen it all before and lived it more And found it isn’t fair And this is my blue collar anthem For a dream that isn’t there Who wants to hoist beer and come along with me On a rock n’ roll fantasy Where she done you wrong but it’s alright again Find a way to get away, take this job and shove away You come full circle yeah But you’re doing what you can, you’re doing what you can There must be some kind of way out of here Said the worker to the thief Chorus Those empty words, now they’re meaning even less When life weighs on your chest They’re just a symbol of the innocence that’s lost When the fun is over, now you pay the cost Chorus

Zing Zing 02:07

about

The result of a 3-day music bender, hunched over my recording gear, nary taking a break for food or sleep. The title comes from the idea that, though I'm usually considered a nut and a little broken, I became unbroken for just long enough to write and record these songs that are a snapshot of my life from those 3 days.

about

Phil Johnson and Roadside Attraction Milpitas

Phil Johnson is a man who gets mistaken for a woman, but only by those not paying attention. That revelation kicks off a battle for self-awareness where comedy and music are the weapons of choice. It’s a battle that has taken Phil to such esteemed festivals as the Edinburgh Fringe and Sundance Film Festivals and the Top 8 Finals of the World Series of Comedy. ... more
